Scrapbooking and Crafts
History:
In the 15th century scrapbooking became a form of information such as recipes, letters and much more information that was available.
This
was around the same time that paper products became affordable. During the 16th Century Friendship albums became popular and hence they started to look like modern day yearbooks. This also allowed girls an opportunity to document their own lives for future generation
Modern Scrapbooking:
Reviving interest in
scrapbooking came about in Spanish Fork, Utah with M. Christensen being credited . The United States has this
art and taken the form of creating
pages and placing into
sheet protectors being compiled into 3 ring binders or
albums.
Journaling:
In addition to the collection of items, you can include tickets, quotes and poems, candy wrappers and many other types of items of interest. It’s important to journal under pictures and articles placed in our scrapbooks, this makes them very appealing, also leaving a legacy behind for our family and friends to enjoy .
Digital Scrapbooking:

As technology has progressed giving us
scanners,
desktop publishing, internet and
digital camera’s. While some prefer to actually
cut and paste into
scrapbooks others are taking advantage of the less environmental impact, as well as the cost savings. Those that like modern
Digital Scrapbooking methods have the ability to share pages with friends over the internet..
This is my personal view on the current program I use; I receive new updates with new pages or
albums to use for
Holidays, Events. My friends and family really enjoy my emails with them attached. This is a quick and easy way to keep them updated on our
family’s current growth.
